Game One: Washington Wizards 64, Sacramento Kings 75Washington Aaron Miles
4 Points, 4 Rebounds, 0 Assists, 1 Steal, 4 Turnovers, 4 Fouls, 1-1 FG, 2-2 FT
-Miles played his typical heady Kansas point guard game, pushing the ball hard down the sideline at every opportunity.
-Miles didnt find himself getting a lot of assists because his teammates were having a very hard time finishing, as is apparent in the teams 33.8% field goal percentage. However, he was doing a good job of finding the open man on the fast break.
-Miles wasnt looking for his shot all game long, but knocked down a nice pull up jumper on his only attempt.Nick Young
11 Points, 1 Rebound, 1 Assist, 1 Block, 3 Turnovers, 7 Fouls, 3-14 FG, 0-3 3FG, 5-7 FT
-Young had a decent debut, but really struggled to get going from the floor. He may have been a bit nervous given that this was his first game as a pro.
-Young did exert a great deal of effort on the defensive end, but was overaggressive at times leading to fouls.
-Young did look comfortable with the ball in his hands, and will have the opportunity to make amends for his pedestrian performance in the coming days. Oleksiy Pecherov
9 Points, 5 Rebounds, 3 Turnovers, 6 Fouls, 3-11 FG, 1-4 3FG, 2-5 FT
-Pecherov didnt have an easy go of things, having to match up against a much more athletic player in Justin Williams
-Pecherov showed good touch at times, and clearly has the potential to play with a lot of savvy.
-Pecherov needs time to adjust to the NBA style of play before he should be looked to for contributions. He has the makings of a good player, but will need to adjust his game to be effective.Dominic McGuire
10 Points, 7 Rebounds, 1 Assist, 2 Steals, 3 Turnovers, 4 Fouls, 4-6 FG, 2-2 FT
-McGuire is the kind of player that is hard not to like. He works hard, is athletic, and plays a quietly effective game.
-McGuire finished around the rim extremely well, making a number of acrobatic layups around defenders in transition. He doesnt possess a great jump shot, but is extremely good at playing the efficient offensive game that he does.
-McGuire rebounds well on both ends of the floor, utilizing his size and athleticism to clean the glass.Kyle Visser
4 Points, 4 Rebounds, 3 Assists, 1 Block, 3 Turnovers, 6 Fouls, 2-7 FG, 0-1 FT
-Visser didnt put up the best numbers, but he still looked comfortable out on the court.
-Visser has decent athleticism, but doesnt always use it effectively on the defensive end.
-Visser has good ball skills for a player his size, but will need to work on his post moves if he wants to be a solid rotation player at the NBA level.Mike Hall
12 Points, 2 Rebounds, 1 Assist, 5-13 FG, 2-6 3FG
-Hall was not shy from the floor today, hoisting up shots whenever he felt he was open. While his results were mixed, he did show good range and improved form.
-Hall isnt the smoothest player offensively, but he is fluid enough athlete to make an impact when the ball is in his hands.Game Two: Dallas Mavericks 87, Denver Nuggets 83DenverVon Wafer
19 Points, 3 Rebounds, 3 Turnovers, 4-10 FG, 3-4 3FG, 8-11 FT
-Wafer had a very solid game today, but made a few mental errors that could have easily been avoided.
-Wafer showed nice range outside of the NBA 3-point line, but would have shot a better percentage on the whole if he would have been more selective about when he attacked the rim. His ability to get to the free throw line was integral in making his shot selection less unreasonable.
-Wafer turned the ball over a few times on careless passes and will need to be significantly more cerebral on offense if he wants to see rotation time in Denver. Will Blalock
17 points, 1 Rebound, 2 Assists, 3 Turnovers, 2 Fouls, 5-9 FG, 7-8 FT
-Blalock played a smart game tonight, and didnt try to do anything that he isnt capable of.
-Blalock attacked the basket hard, and didnt shy away from contact when defenders tried to deny his penetration.
-Blalocks jump shot has looked decent, but his range still isnt ideal at this point.Curtis Sumpter
12 Points, 3 Rebounds, 2 Blocks, 5 Turnovers, 5 Fouls, 4-10 FG, 1-4 3FG, 3-4 FT
-Sumpter didnt have his best game tonight, as he traveled on a number of occasions and made some poor decision with the ball.
-Sumpter did manage to do some positive things as well, including defend the rim and knock down an uncharacteristically deep NBA 3.Larry OBannon
12 Points, 2 Rebounds, 2 Steals, 3 Turnovers, 1 Foul, 4-8 FG, 3-6 3FG, 1-2 FT
-OBannon did a very solid job shooting the ball tonight, and made Dallas defender pay for leaving him open on the perimeter.
-OBannon is a smart player on offense, floating to open areas to create passing lanes for driving teammates.
-OBannon doesnt have a lot of versatility offensively, but does the little things that you look for in a role player.Game Three: Golden State Warriors 80, San Antonio Spurs 90Golden StatePierre Pierce
12 Points, 3 Rebounds, 3 Assists, 2 Steals, 3 Turnovers, 2 Fouls, 2-7 FG, 0-2 3FG, 8-12 FT
-Pierce was relentless attacking the basket tonight, and is proving to be a versatile asset to the Warriors offense.
-Pierces shot was not falling, so he made good choices when driving to the basket to be effective offensively.
-Pierce worked hard on the defensive end, and made a couple of good breaks into passing lanes for tips.Marco Belinelli
15 Points, 3 Assists, 2 Steals, 1 Turnover, 3 Fouls, 5-13 FG, 2-3 3FG, 3-5 FT
-Belinelli played a solid game, but didnt get as hot as he did in previous contests.
-Belinelli was much more conservative offensively, but still took a handful of fallaway jump shots from beyond the arch.
-Belinelli ran the floor well, and saw quite a few touches on the fast break. On one occasion, he made a great deflection to himself for an easy dunk. Josh Powell
14 Points, 7 Rebounds, 1 Assist, 1 Steal, 3 Turnovers, 2 Fouls, 6-11 FG, 2-2 FT
-Powell showed a great deal of promise today, proving to be capable of creating his own offense in the paint.
-Powell showed the ability to make tough shots by hitting a spinning fadeaway from about 13 feet out.
-Powell needs to add fluidity to his offensive repertoire to take his game to the next level, but he is continuing to make strides.Patrick OBryant
5 Points, 4 Rebounds, 3 Blocks, 1 Foul, 2-2 FG, 1-2 FT
-OBryant didnt get a lot of time, but he showed a great deal of progress today.
-His hands looked exponentially better than they did in his last game, and was much less robotic in his motions out on the floor.San AntonioRich Melzer
21 Points, 1 Rebound, 2 Assists, 1 Steal, 2 Turnovers, 3 Fouls, 8-10 FG, 3-5 3FG, 2-4 FT
-Melzer gets recognized here for his impressive offensive outing.
-Melzer was dynamite shooting from the perimeter and the midrange alike.
-Melzer isnt the most versatile bigman, but he does have a nice stroke. He plays a very smart offensive game, and doesnt force things when he is struggling.James White
12 Points, 3 Rebounds, 3 Assists, 2 Turnovers, 3 Fouls, 3-7 FG, 6-7 FT
-White had a decent game tonight, but wasnt as aggressive as he was in past games.
-Whites lack of aggressiveness may have actually worked in his favor, as he was more efficient from the field and played a more balanced game.
-White also deserves a lot of credit for preventing Marco Belinelli
from becoming a factor in this game. White isnt always the most focused player defensively, but he did a great job keeping Belinelli from getting open looks.Jackie Butler
16 Points, 7 Rebounds, 2 Assists, 1 Block, 2 Turnovers, 5 Fouls, 8-15 FG
-Butler made a lot of plays around the rim tonight.
-Butler uses his bulk well in the post, and made a number of tip-ins that are well represented in his 5 offensive boards.
-Butler had a hard time getting his shot off around the rim early in the game, but adjusted quickly by using his strength to his advantage. Game Four: Houston Rockets 90, Los Angeles Clippers 76HoustonAaron Brooks
21 Points, 1 Rebound, 8 Assists, 2 Turnovers, 5 Fouls, 6-14 FG, 3-6 3FG, 6-8 FT
-Brooks had a great debut, knocking down his shots and distributing the ball.
-Brooks possesses a solid shooting stroke, and really caught fire during the second half. His first step allowed him to get to the line, and but he still needs to work on finishing with contact.
-Brooks found teammates for easy baskets throughout the game and showed very good court vision. Mike Harris
16 Points, 9 Rebounds, 1 Block, 3 Turnovers, 5 Fouls, 6-7 FG, 4-5 FT
-Harris played a brutally efficient game tonight, working hard for each point.
-Harris finished a couple of dunks, one of which he created by grabbing the ball out from between another players legs and attacking the rim. His scrappiness also served him well on the glass.
-Harris knocked down a nice pull up jumper, and clearly has a very nice looking stroke.Carl Landry
14 Points, 4 Rebounds, 1 Assist, 1 Steal, 1 Turnover, 2 Fouls, 7-12 FG
-Landry did a great job of getting off the floor to get rebounds and eating up space down low.
-Landry showed good range, hitting one eighteen footer, but will need to become more consistent from that distance.
-Landry also showed the ability to run the floor and finish effectively with contact.Steve Novak
7 Points, 5 Rebounds, 1 Assist, 1 Turnover, 5 Fouls, 2-10 FG, 1-7 3FG, 2-2 FT
-Novak had a rough game, and just couldnt find his stroke from the perimeter.
-Novak did show that he can get his shot off whenever he wants to, which bodes well for the usually lights-out forward.
-Novak had a tough time defensively since he was charged with playing center, a position he isnt used to finding himself in. Lior Eliyahu
10 Points, 4 Rebounds, 1 Block, 3 Turnovers, 3 Fouls, 5-8 FG
-Eliyahu looked surprisingly fluid in his first Summer League game.
-Eliyahu has a very fine handle for a player his size, and is completely capable of putting the ball on the floor and going by his defender.
-Eliyahu had a tough time knocking down shots from the perimeter, and will need to work on his shot in order to become more effective offensively. Los AngelesJared Jordan
3 Points, 4 Rebounds, 6 Assists, 1 Turnover, 1 Foul, 1-4 FG, 1-2 3FG
-Jordan had his hands full with Aaron Brooks
, but still managed to play a good game.
-Jordans ability to create plays for his teammates made him standout amongst LAs other guards.
-Jordan showed some nice range on one NBA three-pointer, but still needs to develop his jumpshot further.Guillermo Diaz
4 Points, 5 Rebounds, 2 Assists, 3 Turnovers, 4 Fouls, 1-8 FG, 2-2 FT
-Diaz had an off night tonight, struggling to get his jumpshot going.
-Diaz needs to improve his consistency offensively, unless the same weaknesses he had in college will haunt him throughout his career. Paul Davis
2 Points, 4 Rebounds, 2 Assists, 1 Steal, 1 Turnover, 2 Fouls
-Davis simply didnt assert himself this game, which is unfortunate considering how well he played in his debut.
-Davis really needs to get more touches in this setting, as he has the potential to be a nice rotation big man if he can develop more post moves.Al Thornton
17 Points, 7 Rebounds, 1 Assist, 6 Turnovers, 5 Fouls, 5-13 FG, 7-7 FT
-Thornton had a rough go of things this game, making a few unnecessary errors with the ball.
-Thornton did play very well offensively, knocking down a bevy of midrange shots from out as far as the NCAA three-point line.

14 Points, 3 Rebounds, 1 Block, 5 Turnovers, 1 Foul, 5-12 FG, 4-6 FT
-Kaman played relatively well in his debut, but made a handful of foolish passes out of the post.
-Kaman displayed a very consistent baseline drop step, that made it easy for him to finish around the rim with his right handed hook shot.
-Kaman needs to work on his left hand if he wants to be a true threat offensively. He aired the only hook he threw up left handed.Mike Gansey
16 Points, 1 Rebound, 1 Assist, 1 Block, 4 Fouls, 6-9 FG, 2-5 3FG, 2-3 FT
-Gansey really tried to assert himself offensively, and came away with a nice performance.
-Gansey has a nice release on his jumper, and already has legitimate NBA range. While he is still developing the ability to create his own shot, he can still be effective as a spot up shooter.
-Gansey had a tough time staying in front of Houstons quicker guards, but worked hard on defense all game.Mohamed Abukar
12 Points, 3 Rebounds, 1 Foul, 5-10 FG, 0-2 3FG, 2-4 FT
-Abukar did a good job tonight, considering he was playing away from his strength, three-point shooting.
-Abukar ran the floor well, and showed the ability to knock down mid range shots with some consistency.
