Donations
Since it's inception, DraftExpress has been searching for an optimal way to keep the site free from subscription charges. The advertising model has proven to be an ineffective way of covering our many expenses and compensating our staff members for the thousands of hours they put forth voluntarily each month. If DraftExpress is unable to sustain itself financially, and essentially avoid a situation where our staff members are forced to pay out of their own pockets to educate millions of basketball enthusiasts, it's clear that we will be forced to either devote our resources elsewhere or start charging our users.
Donating to DraftExpress serves three purposes:
-Keeps the #1 NBA Draft resource on the Internet free
-Eliminate users having to see any ads*
-A portion of all donations will be donated to charity
How much should I donate?
It's up to you essentially. We would like every user to donate according to their ability, and not impose a minimum amount in order to show their appreciation for what we do at DraftExpress.
How do I stop the ads from showing up?
You must first register for an account on DraftExpress that we can flag as being ad-free. You must obviously be logged into that account before you click the donate button and when browsing the site in order to not see ads.
What if I already donated but forgot to create an account first or wasn't logged in? Can I still remove ads?
Yes. First create an account on DX (if you haven't) then send an email to us via the contact form from the email address your paypal account is registered to with your DX account username and donation amount. We'll verify your donation and turn on your donor flag.
