Sofoklis Schortsanitis: Greek Shaq

What happened to this guy? According to his profile here on DX, he's ballooned up to 375 and hasn't done much. Would he of been better off coming to the US few years ago instead of staying overseas?

i don't think he has ever been good enough to play in the NBA so i don't think it has made that much of a difference, but i think he could have came over after the 2005-06 season when he had a great euroleague season and played well in the 2006 fiba games.

When Sofo was in better shape I believe he weighed nearer to 330lbs aprox so could have probably have done a job in the NBA then as bench player but whether his stamina would have lasted an 82 games season would have been questionable and must be doubtful now.
