The Atlantic Coast Conference suspended on Monday the officiating crew that worked Florida State's overtime loss at No. 2 Duke on Saturday.
Edward Corbett, Raymond Natili and Mike Eades will each be suspended for their next game for assessing the technical foul that resulted in Alexander Johnson's disqualification with 9:23 remaining in regulation of the Seminoles' 97-96 loss on Saturday.
John Clougherty, the ACC's coordinator of men's basketball officials, announced the suspension in a release from the league office.
"The technical foul that was called on Florida State's Alexander Johnson in the second half of play should not have been assessed," the league's release said. "The technical foul was Johnson's fifth foul and resulted in his disqualification from the contest.
"Because of the incorrect assessment and handling of the dead ball technical foul situation, the officials that worked the contest will each be suspended for their next game."
Johnson fouled out following a confrontation with Duke's Shelden Williams.
Williams, going up for a dunk, was knocked to the floor by Johnson. Williams regained his footing and charged at Johnson, lowering his right shoulder and forearm into FSU's junior center as Johnson backed away.
Johnson was charged with an intentional foul. A double-technical was also called on both players.
Johnson had 13 points and 11 rebounds in just 14 minutes.
Duke turned back FSU's upset bid by going 31 for 43 at the foul line. FSU, despite dominating in the paint and on the boards, attempted just 11 free throws, making 10.
