Hes going to be a solid late round pick. Maybe someone who'll come off the bench and bring some energy to the floor. I don't think he'll be anymore than a role player in the nba. He is also a lil inconsistant as well.

I dont know how to assess his draft stock he is anywhere from lotto bound to mid 1st to early 2nd round...I think he will make a solid pro...

I like his game similar to a latrell sprewell

He reminds me a lot of Ricky Davis in terms of his versatility. Seems to have his head screwed on a little more tightly, though.

He reminds me of a bigger version of Luther Head.

Head is a great defender, I haven't heard that Ager is even average in the defense department.

Great is a bit exaggerating, he may be an above average defender but Ager is a solid one too, IMO.

Davis is much bigger, stronger and more athletic than Ager. Rodney Carney is much closer to Davis than Ager.

Ager lacks consistency, a mid-range game and the ability to create for himself in the half court. He's dangerous shooting deep off screens and very good in the open court.

This is one of MSU's worst defensive teams in recent memory, and Ager is one of the reasons.

He def. lacks consistency so far this year...He obviously is a better player than last year or the year before but I dont know if an NBA team will want to draft such an inconsistent player in the lotto. It really depends on what a team sees in his ability to score/finish at the next level.

What the hell happened to him? He had such great momentum after the Maui Invitational. He was even dishing out 4-5 assists per game which I considered a major weaknesses of his. He's gone downhill big time in conference play, though. I really don't know what's wrong with him and haven't watched enough of him to get a great read. It seems like every time I see him he is just camping out in the corner or turning the ball over every time he touches it. He doesn't seem to be very smart nor tough mentally.

Ager's overall game has remained solid -- if not always his effort and toughness -- but he's had some horrific shooting performances. MSU wouldn't have had to go to OT at Ohio State if he didn't shoot 1-of-11. Why did MSU only beat Penn State by nine at home? Well, Ager was 3-of-19 shooting, including 2-of-13 from three-point range. He was 5-of-19 when MSU lost at Wisconsin and 3-of-8 when MSU lsot at Illinois.

Ager was out-classed Saturday at Minnesota not only by Vincent Grier, but also Jamal Abu-Shamala -- a freshman walk-on! The Gophers just played much tougher than MSU. Minnesota was usually sending two guys out to check Ager whenever he had the ball outside.

Unfortunately for Maurice -- "He doesn't seem to be very smart nor tough mentally" -- is the bugaboo that has haunted him since high school. MSU just hasn't had hardcore, tough, vocal guards since Mateen. MSU also has some weird voodoo going on where seniors bound for good years turn South and it gets ugly -- Adam Ballenger two years ago, Chris Hill last year, and now Mo Ager, for whom it hasn't gotten as ugly, but he also had a greater distance to fall than those two.

I dont know what is happening to Maurice Ager but he is in a terrible slump throughout conference play. He isn't shooting it well, is getting into foul trouble, isn't getting to the rim and isn't finishing. He better snap out of it in time for the conference tournament or else MSU will be making an early exit stage left in March Madness.

MSU has no backcourt offensive options in reserve, either. The two freshmen, Travis Walton is a defender/ball-handler/rebounder and Maurice Joseph is not ready.

Paging Eric Devendorf ...
