Terrific season he had, legit NBA prospect, even if on first look he might not look like one since he doesn`t have an outstanding athletic ability.
He has very good size, nice frame and quick feet, but his forte is his excellent low post game. Has excellent footwork in the paint and terrific hands, very good offensive rebounder. Solid passer. Needs to improve his defense and mid-range jumpshot.

It probably depends on the team's succes, but imho he is one of the top candidates for MVP of U20 championship next month if he plays the way he did with Slovan at the end of the season.
You can clearly see what hype means here, since Preldžič gets all the attention in the media...

You guys have obviously seen him more. I saw Slovan 2-3 times this season and for me its the first look which Kristian mentioned: I think his low athletic ability might prevent his NBA chances. As Matiz said he will probably shine in U20 this year, so will get some hype and gonna be drafted, but I think the best way for him to try NBA would be only after being recognized and matured player in Europe.

He definately isn't on NBA's level atheticaly wise. He likes the contact though isn't a typical european PF, even further from typical balkan talented PF. He is just an average player athleticaly wise but the lack of big man in NBA is so obvious that with his height he should make it there unless his progress slows down by injuries or otherwise somehow.
I agree with Zalgirinis's last sentence completely, he'll get to NBA only as a matured player in europe... eventhough I wouldn't mind if he doesn't get to NBA at all ;)

It seems he's looking like a second round prospect now, right?
He lacks athleticism but does he have the lenght to make up for it?
What about his upside?
Does he have the attitude and work ethic to develop his game enough, in the next years, to the point where he'll be a first round prospect?

vidmar is a mid second to undrafted guy in his automatic year of 2009. he could develop into a roleplaying bench player that will go in and do the little things.
he plays hard, has a high basketball IQ, strong, banger, will do the little things like set good screens, good off ball (help) defender, slow, not athletic, needs to develop a midrange jumpshot (has nice touch so he should be able to).
