Four years later, it’s time for another edition of the world’s top youth basketball competition. After the first two rounds, three teams have emerged as legit title contenders: USA, Serbia and France. Meanwhile, Andrew Ogilvy has taken the tournament by storm, leading Australia to a perfect 6-0 record, also leading the scoring board and emerging as our personal choice for the provisional MVP award.

"As usual, we can talk about his (Macvan) limited athleticism and physical grace, but the truth is, he’s so far delivering at any category he plays."
Very nice line and very true. Well put.
France is currently dominating against the USA, 12-19 after the first period.
USA isn't getting a lot of easy buckets!
Hope France keeps this up, unlike last game..
30-37 France..
Terrible coaching by Wainwright..
Akward subs, players getting agitated, etc
Batum again showing great court vision, had a BIG break away dunk.. some nice steals and rebounds..
Beasley is doing jack sh*t besides fouling.
CHOKE job by france...
dammit

Nice writing; on the quality of the tournament-disappointing, there were only 3 serious teams, the talent level for a world is subpar, many kids with euroleague talent but very few with a higher ceiling talentwise.
But reading it you get the impression the only guys missing for the US were KD and Oden. I tend to believe the only one on this team with a chance to make the squad would be Beasley. He is an unbelievable talent but with his moodswinging, surliness and unreliableness there is a great chance he would miss out. Think about the inside with Oden, Hawes, B.Lopez, Love and Arthur, on the wings Singler, Durant, Young, Gordon and Derozan and Rose, Jennings as points. This would be something unbelievable to watch.

I would love to see that team (they are all born in '88) along with Rose and whoever is born in '87 go up against the Serbia AND Montenegro u20 team with its full roster. That would be a classic game and probably a pretty good debut for their future of World basketball for the next 10 years.
When I say u20 team, I dont just mean the team that won gold this year..
Serbia: Teodosic, Tepic, Mijatovic, Markovic, Paunic, Keselj, Dasic, Labovic, Stimac, Durkovic, Aleksandrov, Raduljica, Macvan
USA: Oden Durant Love Young Wright Beasely Mayo Lopez's..
USA would be the favorite, but itd be an amazing game. USA wouldnt have one thing Serbia would, and the most important key, a great leader: Milos Teodosic.
By the way, will there be a review of the u20 anytime soon?
We are new world championship. Second gold in the row. We have chance for two more.
