Obviously an ultimate long term prospect, very big could just about be anything. Playing for a top team like Benetton means that he'll get good coaching and have a good level of players to practice against. As Kenny George is about 130lbs heavier than this guy apart from being over 7ft I cannot see an obvious comparision as I've never seen footage of this guy playing whilst George can use his bulk to fill a lane etc.

Just his size will give him draft value, pencil he down as a no risk 2nd round pick if he declares in 2010, to get into the mix for a first round pick which would still be 2010 so I'm not automatically sure what the potential deph of that class could be as they will not even be HS seniors until next year he'll need to start getting minutes in the Italian league either with Benetton or if they loan him out.

Looking at his raw stats, I'd say that he'd need to ideally get to around 250lbs to give his physique the required bulk to play inside etc. (This is based looking at listed playing weights of guys like Thabeet, Big Z etc and deducting say 10lbs as they fill out from draft day to current NBA playing weight etc).

i mean George in the fact that....he's young and huge, seemingly like he has gigantism..and at 18 he will grow more....

This kid could grow even further given his age, of all the big men in the NBA, it's always interesting to know who had giantism. I have heard of guys who are 7ft to 7ft 2 ins having this in other walks of life yet there are loads of guys this height in the NBA who I've never heard mention of them having it.

Hister you don't find it kinda alarming that at 17 he is 7'4"...it's a good thing, but all i would suggest to any team interested check and see if this kid has any Pituitary Gland issues because at that height and age, it could be a warning hidden as a blessing

I played with and against Samuel in Malta some months ago before going to Benetton, and I must say that while he is as you say 'gigantic', he does not look like he has Pituitary Gland or anything unhealthy at all. He's just big and growing.

He's a very good freethrow shooter for his size and has developed over years a nice 2 point shot and a good turnaroud hook shot. During National Team games and Under 20 games in Malta he was practically impossible to stop for guys even 4 years older then him. He should gain weight yes, but when I see the likes of Chris Bosh (who was very thin at the draft), etc getting that much weight, it should be no problem for him. He works hard as well so he should be ok. While he exhibits defects which are inevitable for a guy his age, he will certainly improve those.

NBA? Can't say.

And here's an impressive photo of him in the National Team U17.
