hendrix could be a late first to early second round pick in either 2008 or 2009 depending on what kind of season he has next year. he could develop into a role bench player (9th or 10th man).
he is strong, good post game, athletic, good hands, good passer, not very quick struggles to get up and down floor, undersized for the NBA, poor defender.
likely role in the nba is as a strong undersized post that can score down low and rebound.
career 4pts 3reb prime 5pts 3reb 1blk rookie 4pts 3reb.

He's an absolute beast. But I think you're undershooting what he is capable of, coachjon. He's not really that undersized, if you think about it. He's about as big as the average NBA power forward is nowadays. The conference he plays in, the SEC, isn't full of midgets either. Most teams have a player 6'10 and over on their teams... He's 6'9 tops, 6'8 bottoms with a nice set of post-moves. He rebounds like a pro already and is not as unathletic (he is no slouch and gets up/down the floor well, though his conditioning could improve) as you make him out to be. He might not have amazing leaping ability, but he utilizes his size well to get rebounds and has good fundamentals in terms of boxing out defenders on both boards as well as impeccible timing. He rebounds like a bigger Paul Millsap; those who saw Millsap play in college knows what kind of compliment that is. Also, he's on a team that was depleted at the PG last year. With Steele back, Davidson out of the middle and a new start, Hendrix will be huge. There is no reason that he can't get a first round look and a chance for NBA success in a starting lineup. Those numbers you provided, coachjon, should be worst-case. Some stats for you:
Hendrix:
Freshman 27 mpg, 9.4 ppg (56% FG), 8.0 rpg, 1.5 bpg
Sophomore 27 mpg, 14.6 ppg (60% FG), 8.7 rpg, 1.3 bpg
He could easily become a 20/10 performer next season.
