well... I disagree with "best case scenario" since I don't really think Halperin would be more athletic than Udrih by any means... but overall a great profile Jonathan

thanks Matiz.

I didn't see a ton of Udrih once he was in Italy, but it seemed to be that he was much more athletic a few years ago before all the injuries struck. Since then I've seen him up close and personal at the Chicago pre-draft camp and also playing with the Spurs, and I think that Halperin has an advantage over him in his footspeed and the way he can get by people. But of course that's a very subjective matter. It was hard to come up with a best case scenario for him really.

Well done.
But one correction: Halperin never played with Katash. Katash finished his career at the age of 25, and it was before Halperin was at the senior Maccabi team. Besides Kattashes last two seasnos were at Panathinaikos.

i think even though intriging halperin will go undrafted this year a lot of the taller euro pg's in the past sasha vujacic lakers and Zoran Plannic of the Nets have been more combo guards than pg's and have had some limited success in the nba. he could come over as a undrafted free agent at some time after proving himself in someones camp.

i saw a thing where ESPN is saying that a lot of europeans could be taken in the second round to be stashed overseas because a lot of teams don't want to take a second round guy they will have to offer a contract to right away. this is because of salary cap reasons and because a lot of teams want to add veterans as oppossed to youth this summer because a lot of nba teams are already young. so a lot of obscure euros could be taken in the second round. i don't know if i agree with this but this is what ESPN's Chad Ford is saying
