Dasic is getting better and better and shows nice games for Buducnost Podgorica in NLB league.

What do you think about him?

Obviously Dasic is probably one of the best young prospects in Europe and probably top 3 in the 1988 class. I think he made a huge mistake not leaving Buducnost when he had the oppurtunity. He had 12 pts 9 rebs in 27 minutes today and that about sums up how his season has been. I dont think you can really prove yourself to NBA scouts in the NLB league though, so he is going to have to go to a Euroleague team for a season to truly prove himself. I am very high on Marko Keselj and think he made a great decision going to Girona. He has tremendous size at around 6'10 for a small forward or even shooting guard. But to answer your question, im kinda of confused on what Dasic's plans for the future are if he plans on staying in Serbia or going to a Euroleague team.

Nenad Mijatovic had an amzing game today for Buducnost also putting in 18 points in 30 minutes.

Also Dragan Labovic continues to be the leader of FMP at only 19 years old as he is the best player on the best team in the NLB. He had 19 pts in 24 minutes today completely outplaying Ante Tomic of Croatia.

I don`t think Dasic made a mistake, at this stage he would not get much if any burn at the Euroleague club. He is doing very well, but is not like he is among best forwards in the NLB yet. I think he is kind of a tweener, above average athleticism, but will not blow you away with his vertical or footspeed either. If you look at him as a small forward he might be just a bit too slow and his perimeter game really needs polishing, if you look at his as a PF he doesn`t stand out with his size and does not do much damage in the post - i like his rebounding skills through. I have a hard time projecting his career and potential as far as NBA is concerned. He must either improve his strenght and post game, or develop more consistent jumper and ballhandling skills.

NLB is not a weak competition as many think. For me after the spanish, russian, italian and greek league the best in europe. And he did the right think staying in Buducnost. He signed a 4 year contract with them before this season and were he could get an better basketball education as in our region? The region of ex-Yugoslavia still develops the most and talented players. And he is not ready now to playing good on EL-Level. Batum is also not performing well for LeMans in EL this year. Or take a look at a very solid prospect like Ernest Kalve from Latvia which went to Benetton and now end up in a german club. If he continues to develop good he could join a good team in europe when he is 20 for the 2008/2009 season or go directly to the NBA with 21-22.
But as KrstianH wrote if he wants to succsed in the NBA he has to develop a better outsideshooting or better postmoves. He is a more the a good athlet for europe, but for the NBA he is just OK. But he has a good body and i think he would not have problems to put up more muscles.

And Keselj is a nice prospect and showed good games in serbian league for MegaIshrane, but now he is not playing much. But he also is still young and Pesic is coach of Girona so that if he works hard for sure will get his chance to play and make some noise. I hope we will see him this year the the U20 EC.
