Considering his contract wiht Askavayu has a escape clause after the second year, is it safe to say he will go to the Nba then?
Is he determined to play in the NBA? Is he interested at all?
I don't blame the kid for taking the money to remain in Spain, he wanted to make sure his future was guaranteed. I can understand that. The four million he will make in two years represent a 7mil NBA deal.
However, if he doesn't come to the NBA after those 2years, I'd seriouslly question his feel for the game.

Yet, it seems his game has taken a step back from last year.

That would be the best moment to leave for the NBA. The next season will be crucial to test how better will Vazquez get. A good season should give him enough confidence to start his NBA career. I he has a bad season, I'm not sure Orlando would want him anyway at that moment, considering they already have young quality bigs way more intriguing.

I don't blame him either. Why should he play for a NBA team? He went to a general audition, so what? Nobody asks an European player when a NBA team gets his draft rights for life in the second round (for example), why should Fran sign with the team that has picked him? or even warn the team that he's not playing there anytime soon before picking him?
