i think that sun is a late second to undrafted guy right now. he could eventually develop into a nice role playing starter.
Unselfish, good passer (penetrate and disher), mobile, slasher, good wingspan, good offball defender (weakside shot blocker and getting into passing lanes for steals), excels in uptempo game, needs to add weight/strength, not very quick, needs to learn how to play without the ball right now he excels with the ball in his hand (point wing), needs to develop a post game, needs to develop a midrange game.

I don`t think he will get drafted, Yue is very big guard and can handle a rock, but i don`t think he can play on a PG full time. He really struggles putting the ball in the basket and lacks any kind of consistency with his perimeter shooting. Defensively he is solid, but far from being able to defend NBA guards just yet. Eventually i see him playing on the wing, but if he is to get any burn in the NBA he will have to improve his shooting skills by leaps and bounds. As i said, i think he will get undrafted and will pursue his dream of playing in the NBA through the Summerleagues, someone will give him a shot due to his marketability.

Now if a team does draft him and tries to run him at PG then he will be a bust like a lot of other taller players they have tried that with. He would be better served as a point wing, but like you said he doesn't really have great scoring ability which weakens him as that kind of a prospect.

besides his sub-par shooting, why is he going to be late second round to undrafted?
i know he hasnt played against the best competition, but for some reason i think he would be a nice prospect

He is quite thin and really does nothing that jumps out at you at any position... He's another one of those 6'9 point forward prospects and while there is always his background (hugely marketable for the NBA corporation) and the potential, he really hasn't shown himself to be a point guard prospect. He's no better suited to the point than Boris Diaw, but unlike Diaw, he is not as versatile offensively and has absolutely no post game. He is a wing, if anything, and his shooting, as mentioned is quite subpar, but perhaps more disturbing is his passivity on offense and his inability at a low level to really create his own shot. Hence, his position as undrafted, but there is the sentiment that he has a chance to make an NBA roster... Nextstar, he is a nice prospect, but that is about all he is, in my opinion. He's the kind of guy that makes far more of an impression in a team setting. Nothing he does jumps out at you, but his team plays well when he is on the floor. He's not much of a prospect now in terms of NBA playing time, but Sun is a guy you might hear about in the near or not too distant future impacting somebody's roster.
