| | Jordan Brand Classic Games (Day Three) by Jonathan Givony, Joseph Treutlein |
|---|
Brandon Jennings and Tyreke Evans were named co-MVPs of the Jordan Brand Classic, which ended up being a very high scoring, guard-oriented, streetball style affair. Greg Monroe, Scotty Hopson and Demar Derozan all had solid outings, as did Samardo Samuels and Tony Woods. In the regional games, the Morris twins--Marcus and Markieff, showed a great deal of talent, while Florida bound Erving Walker and especially George Mason commit Ryan Pearson stole the show with a huge game.

| Jordan Brand Classic Scrimmage (Day Two) by Jonathan Givony, Joseph Treutlein |
|---|
We had a chance to evaluate the two teams in action in a semi-competitive 40 minute scrimmage with a running clock. The players played somewhat (but definitely not extremely) hard for the most part, and it gave us a good opportunity to take another look at their physical tools and basic skill-level. Kevin Durant was sitting on one of the benches, Worldwide Wes was just a few feet away in the bleachers, and a few agents and Nike marketing people made up the very sparse crowd.

|---|
We've again received the official measurements from the 2008 Nike Hoop Summit, featuring many of the top American high school prospects that should make up next year's potential "one and done" class. There are a few interesting figures to study here, including Al-Farouq Aminu, Malcolm Lee, Tyreke Evans and others.
We also take a look back at last year's measurements for those who missed them or may have forgot, which give us a lot of insight into this year's draft class, as they feature most of the top freshman prospects, including Michael Beasley, Derrick Rose, Jerryd Bayless, Derrick Rose and Donte Greene. Alexis Ajinca and Nicolas Batum were also there.

| | Jordan Brand Classic Practices (Day One) by Jonathan Givony, Joseph Treutlein |
|---|
We’re in New York City for an event that seems to be rivaling the McDonald’s All-American game for high school basketball all-star game supremacy—the Jordan Brand Classic. With a superior location, facilities, format and arguably even roster, the Jordan Brand people have definitely provided us a terrific opportunity to evaluate the best high school seniors in America, in a variety of settings. We got to take in a very competitive 90 minute practice today, still have a scrimmage tomorrow, and the actual game on Saturday. There is also a dunk contest tonight that we’ll be passing on. In addition to the “All-American teams,” they’ve collected the top local players from the New York area for a regional game, as well as a group of 15 and 16 year old International players from Europe, Africa and Australia that are competing here.

| Nike Hoop Summit Report (Day Two) by Mike Schmidt |
|---|
Our second day at the Nike Hoop Summit was just as interesting as the first, with many NBA scouts still in attendance. Some of the NBA decision-makers left for Portsmouth after yesterday, and many from Portsmouth will be arriving here in Portland tomorrow. The focus from many teams in attendance seems to revolve around the big men on the international squad this year. Samardo Samuels, Serge Ibaka, Alexis Ajinca, Boban Marjanovic and Tim Olbrecht have all drawn attention in some way or another this week. We also take an in-depth look at the US team, particularly Jrue Holiday, Demar Derozan and Tyreke Evans.
