2013 adidas EuroCamp: Day One
June 8, 2013
-Oleksandr Lypovyy, the MVP of this event last year, continued his season long struggles today, shooting just 3/9 from the field and committing four turnovers in 24 minutes of action. After impressing with his ability to play and defend multiple positions last year, the small forward is shooting under 40% from the field in a fairly significant role for Donetsk in the EuroCup, VTB United, and Ukrainian Superleague this year. Making questionable decisions playing point guard for much of the day, Lypovyy settled for a number of bad pull-up jump shots, struggling throughout and seemingly losing confidence later in the day.

adidas EUROCAMP Day Three
June 13, 2012
-Oleksandr Lypovyy was the MVP of this year's event, and the 6'6.5 multi-positional standout made his mark defensively, effectively guarding 3 positions over the course of the week. Possessing a wiry-strong frame, Lypovyy is a bull dog defending the ball, showing terrific tenacity and toughness. He saw rotation minutes for BC Donetsk this season, and his experience showed at times here.

Offensively, he did a nice job distributing the ball and running the pick and roll, also chipping in with a pull-up jumper from time to time. A very versatile player, Lypovyy will be tracked closely this coming season, and will be automatically eligible for the 2013 NBA Draft.

adidas EUROCAMP Day One
June 10, 2012
Ukranian point guard Oleksandr Lypovyy had a solid showing. A bit of an unknown coming into the event, Lypovyy is a 1991-born prospect who will be automatically eligible for the 2013 NBA Draft. He averaged 11.2 minutes per-game for BC Donetsk this season playing in the Ukranian Superleague and the EuroCup. Turning in above average all-around performances at the junior level, Lypovyy is an oversized point guard with solid ball-handling ability. Standing 6'5 with a nice wingspan, Lypovyy is at his best when he puts the ball on the floor and attacks the rim, where he uses crafty Eurosteps to find seems in the lane and shows good vision finding open shooters on the perimeter. Lypovyy has a somewhat long, slow, albeit smooth release on his jumper, and is only an average athlete at best, but his combination of size and playmaking ability is intriguing. He made a couple questionable decisions with the ball today, but finished with 8 points and 3 assists to pace his team to a 73-60 victory, and played with good confidence throughout the day.
