30 of the 31 division one conferences have a tournament to determine their champion. Here are the dates, locations, and formats of each tournament for the 2007-2008 season.


-ACC: (March 13-16)

LOCATION:
-Charlotte Bobcats Arena, Charlotte, NC

FORMAT:
-All twelve teams qualify.
-Seeding is standard. The top four teams receive byes into the quarterfinals and the other eight must play there way in.

-AMERICA EAST (March 7-9, 15)

LOCATION:
-Opening Round, quarterfinals and semifinals at Events Center, Binghamton, NY (Binghamton's home floor)
-Championship game on the home floor of the highest remaining seed

FORMAT:
-All nine teams qualify
-seeding is standard. The top seven teams receive byes into the quarterfinals and the rest must play their way in.

-ATLANTIC TEN (March 12-15)

LOCATION:
-Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ

FORMAT:
-There are fourteen teams in the conference and twelve qualify. The top four teams reveive byes into the quarterfinals.

-ATLANTIC SUN: (March 5-8)

LOCATION:
-Allen Arena, Nashville, TN (Lipscomb is hosting)

FORMAT:
-There are 12 teams in the conference, but South Carolina Upstate, Florida Gulf Coast, Kennesaw State and North Florida are not able to participate yet. The seeding is standard.

-BIG EAST (March 12-15)

LOCATION:
-Madison Square Garden, New York, NY

FORMAT:
-There are 16 teams in the conference and the top 12 qualify. The seeding is standard.

-BIG SKY (March 8, 11-12)

LOCATION:
-Campus sites. The quarterfinals are played on the home floors of the higher seed. The semifinals and finals are played on the home floor of the regular season winner.

FORMAT:
-There are 9 teams in the conference and the top 6 qualify. The top 2 teams receive byes into the semifinals.

-BIG SOUTH ( March 4, 6, 8)

LOCATION: All qarterfinal games are played on the home floors of the higher seeds. The semifinals and finals are played on the home floor of the highest remaining seed

-BIG TEN (March 13-16)

LOCATION:
-Conseco Field House, Indianapolis, IN

FORMAT:
-All 11 teams qualify. The top five teams receive byes into the quarterfinals. The seeding is standard. Ohio State will play in the tournament, but is not eligible for the NCAA tournament so if they win the Big Ten forfeits its automatic bid.

-BIG WEST (March 12-15)

LOCATION:
-Anaheim Convocation Center, Anaheim, CA

FORMAT:
-There are 9 teams and the top 8 qualify.
-The top two seeds receive byes to the semifinals
-Seeds #3 and #4 receive byes to the quarterfinals

(I'm not entirely sure how to make a bracket for this, but here it is):
-Seeds #5 vs #8 and #6 vs #7 in the opening round to advance to the quarterfinals
-In the quarterfinals, #3 plays the lowest (worst) remaining seed and #4 plays the next lowest remaining seed.
-In the semifinals, #1 plays the lowest remaining seed and #2 plays the next lowest remaining seed.
-The championship game is between the two semifinal winners.


-BIG TWELVE (March 13-16)

LOCATION:
-Sprint Center, Kansas City, MO

FORMAT:
-All twelve teams qualify. The top four teams receive byes into the quarterfinals. The seeding is standard.

-COLONIAL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (March 7-10):

LOCATION:

LOCATION:
-FedEx Forum, Memphis, TN (Memphis's home floor)

-There are 12 teams in the conference and all qualify. The top four seeds receive byes to the quarterfinals. The seeding is standard.

-HORIZON LEAGUE (March 4, 7, 8, 11)

LOCATION:
-Opening round to be played on the home floors of the higher seed
-Quarterfinals and Semifinals at home arena of the #1 seed
-Championship game on the home floor of the higher (better) seed

FORMAT:
-All 10teams qualify.
-The #1 and #2 seeds receive byes to the semifinals.

-Opening Round:

-Quarterfinals:
the #10@#3 vs the #7@#6 winner. The winner of this game plays the #2 seed in the semifinals.

The #8@#5 winner plays the #9@#4 winner. The winner of this game plays the #1 seed in the semifinals.

-The championship game is between the two semifinal winners.


-INDEPENDENT TEAMS.
No automatic bid is awarded and no tournament is held


-IVY LEAGUE
No tournament is held. The automatic bid goes to the outright regular season winner. If two or more teams tie for the regular season championship, a single game playoff will be held to determine the winner.


-METRO ATLANTIC ATHLETIC CONFERENCE (March 7-10)

LOCATION:
-Times Union Center, Albany, NY

FORMAT: All ten teams qualify and the seeding is standard

-MID AMERICAN CONFERENCE (March 12-15)

LOCATION:
-Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, OH

FORMAT:
-All 12 conference teams qualify. There are two divisions in the conference, but teams are seeded by their overall conference record. What division they are in has no bearing on where they are seeded. The top four seeds receive byes to the quarterfinals. The seeding is standard.

-MID-EASTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE (March 10-15)

LOCATION: RBC Center, Raleigh, NC

FORMAT:

-All eleven teams qualify for the tournament with the top five receiving byes into the quarterfinals. After the opening round, the teams are reseeded for the quarters and the bracket is standard for the remainder of the tournament.


-MISSOURI VALLEY (March 6-9)

LOCATION:
-Savvis Center, Saint Louis, MO

FORMAT:
-There are ten teams in the conference and all qualify. The seeding is standard. The top six teams receive byes into the quarterfinals.

-NORTHEAST CONFERENCE (March 6, 9, 12)

LOCATION:
-All tournament games are played on the home floors of the higher seeds.

FORMAT:
-There are 11 teams in the conference and the top 8 qualify.
-The matchups in the quarterfinals are determined by the standard seeding.
-In the semifinals, the teams are reseeded. The highest (best) remaining seed plays the lowest (worst), and the other two teams play each other.
-The championship game is between the two semifinal winners.


-OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE (March 4, 7, 8)

LOCATION:
-Quarterfinal games are held on the home floors of the higher seeded teams.
-Semifinals and championship game are at the Gaylord Entertainment Center, Nashville, TN

FORMAT:
-There are 11 teams in the conference and the top 8 qualify.
-The matchups in the quarterfinals are determined by the standard seeding.
-In the semifinals, the teams are reseeded. The highest (best) remaining seed plays the lowest (worst), and the other two teams play each other.
-The championship game is between the two semifinal winners.


-PAC TEN (March 12-15)

LOCATION:
-Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA

FORMAT:
-There are ten teams in the conference and all qualify. The seeding is standard.

LOCATION:
-John Q. Hammonds Arena at the UMAC, Tulsa, OK

FORMAT:
-There are 10 teams, but North Dakota State and South Dakota State are ineligible. The Seeding is standard. The #1 and #2 seeds play their quarterfinal games a day early to give them an extra day's rest.

-There are 13 teams and all qualify. The seeding is standard with the top 3 recieving buys into the quarterfinals.

-Seeds #3 and #4 receive byes to the quarterfinals

-Seeds #5 vs #8 and #6 vs #7 in the opening round to advance to the quarterfinals
-In the quarterfinals, #3 plays the lowest (worst) remaining seed and #4 plays the next lowest remaining seed.
-In the semifinals, #1 plays the lowest remaining seed and #2 plays the next lowest remaining seed.
-The championship game is between the two semifinal winners.
